Shaklee Malaysia Business Leaders National Conference 2018 (BLNC 2018)

BLNC is an event for all selected leaders to understand Shaklee business & marketing plans, new breakthrough products and to build networking among leaders. This year it was held on 4 February at Sunway Pyramid Convention Centre.

This is my very first time joining BLNC. And I am bringing another 10 Top Leaders from #teamTGG to join this prestigious program. 

On 3 February, I flew from Bintulu to KL in the morning and met my mom at KLIA2. Then I went for shopping at 1Utama until 8.30 pm while waiting for Kelly to be home. Haha. I took Grab from 1 Utama to Cyberjaya. Then I met Flora and Pei Ling at Kelly’s house. Chit chatted for a while and we went to bed early.

NEXT DAY…

We woke up super early to prepare ourselves for this event. All of us wore formal attire and the theme set was Purple. Yay, my favorite. We met a lot of leaders from all around Malaysia. 

We got to see Youth products and its demonstrations. My hand got smoother on the first application! Haha

Brain Development with Omega 3

I started taking fish oils when I was pregnant with Jayden. Fish oil especially Omega 3 is good for brain development for baby throughout the 40 weeks of pregnancy. I took 1 capsule of fish oil everyday from the day I knew I was pregnant.

To be honest, I have never really compare what if I am not taking fish oil during pregnancy. But what I observed from Jayden and Jeana, they picked up words very fast and Jayden is a super fast learner.

So, let me explain in details about fish oil in this article.

Why is Fish Oil Important in Brain Development?

Tissues of oily fishes contain oils. These oils are later on derived from those tissues. They contain omega-3 fatty acids EPA and DHA which altogether decrease the risk of inflammation in the human body. Fish oil is also considered to reduce the probability of heart attack, stroke and clinical depression. Good levels of essential fatty acids – especially a type of Omega 3 called DHA (docosahexaenoic acid) are required for development and maintenance of the brain, eyes, immune system, heart, skin, cognition, behavior, the nervous system and more.

During the course of evolution, the mankind showed more complex and thoughtful behavior and cognitive functions through the overall development of brain. Studies have indicated that this major growth and development of the brain was due to the intake of more fish oils. It was also concluded in a study that the DHA is responsible for the proper and accurate existence of the central nervous system. The 60% area in the human brain is covered with fat and that is the grey matter. DHA is mostly found in the grey matter and that portion is considered important for all the sensory functions and intelligence.

Importance of fish oil in brain development-

• Fish oils from Salmon and trout are responsible for the improvement of memory storage and processing of human brain.
• A new research has stated that a fish that has fatty acid has in it possess the capacity of boosting the overall function of memory by 15 percent if it is eaten as a meal.
• Fish rich diet has become a major importance to the scientists to be used against the prevention of the onset of dementia- a neurodegenerative disease. This diet works to maintain the optimal brain health of the human beings.
• Fish oil possesses a protective effect against Alzheimer’s disease for the people aged 60 years and above. This is why; older people are often prescribed fish oils as a dietary supplement with their meals.
• During pregnancy, intake of fish oils transfers DHA inside the mother’s body and act upon the fetus in developing a healthy neural growth.
• Breast feeding children tend to show growing neural development after 4 months of having breast milk of the mother who was taking fish oil as her dietary supplement.

Banana Beach!

We arrived early in Phuket, Thailand. We disembarked from the ship and followed the buses prepared by Shaklee to bring us to Patong Beach.

From Patong Beach, we had to take a speedboat to Banana Beach, a private island with clearer water and better surrounding. Not many people at Banana Beach and we really enjoyed it so much.

We had our free Parasailing activity and another team had their free Banana Boat activity.

The experience was superb and I flew super high up due to my weight haha. Yay, luckily I don’t have to carry stones around my waist zzz.

After the exciting activity, we changed and had our lunch. The lunch was great and seriously I had no time to feel hungry. I had too much good food here haha.

Yummy!!

I am glad that all of us were well taken care of by Shaklee management.

After our beach activity, we went for SHOPPING!

Tawar here tawar there haha to save a few bucks! Super kiasu Malaysian lol. Bought shirt, scarves and fried ice-cream.

Now, back to the cruise to get ourselves ready for Captain’s dinner. Weeeee. It’s a fine dining experience and I chose to dine at Four Seasons restaurant.

We had a chat with the CEO of Shaklee Malaysia, Mdm Helen. I felt nervous talking to her lol. She’s a super dedicated woman and have a high inspiration to grow Shaklee business. Love talking to her!
